About Diamond 7’s Photo Co.
An Army veteran with a camera, a love for the rodeo and a habit of lying in the arena dirt to get the shot.

Meet Cody Holst
Cody is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a cannon crewmember on the M777A2 howitzer. That is where the three 7s in Diamond 7’s come from. The Diamond is for one of his old horses.
Photography has been part of Cody’s life for as long as he can remember, but it was the rodeo that made him put everything into it. He launched Diamond 7’s in June 2026 and spent his first season on the road at rodeos across Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.
Most weekends you will find him lying in the dirt at the fence line, a few feet from the action, working to get the shot you will want on your wall.
Where Diamond 7’s comes from
The M777A2
Cody served in the U.S. Army as a cannon crewmember on the M777A2 howitzer. The three 7s are a nod to that service.
Diamond
The Diamond is for one of Cody’s old horses. She is gone now, but she is part of every photo with the name on it.
First season
Diamond 7’s launched in June 2026 with rodeos across Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Fell for the sport at the fence line
Cody did not grow up in rodeo. Moving around the country, it never had a chance to happen. Then he found the rodeo atmosphere and could not put the camera down.
He is partial to the rough stock events, but the best part is the people: meeting the competitors, putting faces to names and getting to know the families who make every weekend happen.
- Rough stock, timed events and youth events
